Food Contact Material Testing


Food packaging, food utensils and auxiliary materials, equipment, tools and other materials and products in contact with food are collectively referred to as food contact materials. Food contact materials can be divided into the following categories from the material point of view:

Plastics, metals (including surface coating), glass, ceramics, enamel, rubber, paper, plant fibers and bamboo and wood;

Food contact and material testing range includes tableware: iron tableware, aluminum tableware, glass tableware, stainless steel tableware, melamine tableware, disposable tableware, etc.

Kitchenware: pot, shovel, cutting board, stainless steel kitchen utensils, etc.

Food packaging materials: all kinds of food packaging bags (plastic bags, plastic wrap), food containers, etc.


Food contact materials (plastics, coatings, resins) :

Sensory indicators, decolorization tests, evaporation residue, potassium permanganate consumption, heavy metals, formaldehyde, phenol, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, styrene, antimony, germanium, acrylonitrile, caprolactam, bisphenol A, plasticizers (phthalates: DEHP, DINP, DNOP, DBP, DMP, DEP), etc.

Food contact materials (glass, metal, ceramic/enamel) :

Dissolution of heavy metals, lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), arsenic (As), antimony (Sb), zinc (Zn), etc.

Paper products (base paper for food packaging) :
